Elmere Loch Linnhe

Linnhe kindly came to us on long term breeding loan from Elmere Stud. Linnhe has had a super show career however her breeder has taken the decision that she would be happier living in a herd environment. Linnhe has been a great addition to her herd and was purchased by the stud after having her first foal with us in 2017.

We were keen to have Linnhe as an addition to Heald Town Stud as she is a good quality example of a Highland Pony with an excellent pedigree. Linnhe is full sister to 2015 HOYS finalist, Elmere Loch Ryan. Ryan has also secured his 2016 HOYS ticket and took 4th place for the second time.

Linnhe is a sweet mare. She is a princess and is keen to take the lions share of the attention from her human friends when she is out in the meadows. She loves a good groom and a cuddle.

Linnhe had her first foal, Heald Town Bruadarach, in June 2017. We are very pleased with what Linnhe and Ernie have produced and we will be pairing them again for future foals. We have however run Linnhe with junior stallion, Glenmuick of Coynach, in 2019, producing a super filly foal. Corra, who is being retained.

Linnhe was paired back to Ernie for a 2021 foal - producing Heald Town Turadh who has been sold on as a future breeding stallion.

In 2023 Linnhe was paired with our young stallion, Balmoral MacDougall, in the hope of a 2024 foal.
