Heald Town Highland Pony Stud

Luna is a good, strong filly who at two weeks old at the time of writing is starting to show her inquisitive and friendly nature. Something that isn't a surprise as the temperaments of her mother, father and grandmother who live with us at the stud are excellent.

 

Luna is nicely put together, has great balance and moves well. She is expected to mature between 13.3hh and 14hh. Luna will eventually become grey.

 

Luna is practically perfect in every way but is not a top class show pony under Highland Pony Society rules as she has a very small amount of white on one of her back hooves.  This white marking falls outside of the ideal breed standard and although it will not be noticed by many the marking will be noted on Luna's passport. Luna would make an ideal family pony and is likely to be capable with the right humans of excelling in other areas such as dressage.

We are asking £1400 for Luna. A deposit of £400 secures subject to reference checks with the balance payable after weaning and before travelling to her new home, She is expected to leave around November time and will be well handled, leading and picking feet.

Please do not be offended when we ask for references, we do check out all of our buyers. Referees such as vet and farrier are ideal.
